Elemental Nature. The Embercoil is composed of elemental aether and slag. It does not require air, water, food, or sleep.
Twisted Form. The Embercoil's form resists change. It has advantage on saving throws against being petrified or stunned. Magic that attempts to reshape it must succeed on a spellcasting ability check to take full effect.
Anchored. The guardian is forged to withstand planar disruption. It has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects that would teleport, banish, or forcibly move it. Additionally, it has resistance to damage dealt by summoned creatures.
Smoldering Aura. Any creature that ends its turn within 5 feet of the Embercoil takes bludgeoning or fire damage from embers and sizzling slag, chosen by the DM each encounter.
Multiattack. The guardian makes two slam attacks.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: bludgeoning damage plus fire damage and the target must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or be sickened until the end of its next turn. On a successful save the target takes the damage but is not sickened.
Corrosive Surge. Recharge 5-6. The guardian erupts in a twisting wave of elemental corruption in a 15-foot radius. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw. A failed save takes mixed fire and acid damage and suffers twisted embers: it takes fire damage at the start of each of its turns. A successful save takes half damage and does not suffer twisted embers. A creature can use an action to scrape or wash off the embers, ending the ongoing damage on itself.
Fiery Recoil. When a creature within 5 feet hits the guardian with a melee attack it lashes back: the attacker takes fire damage.
