Tomas Koyotl
Fighter
Tomas Koyotl
Species
Human
Appearance
Tomas looks less like a warrior than a man who has been repeatedly mistaken for one by desperate circumstances. Dust has settled permanently into the creases around his mouth and eyes. His hands are broad, cracked, and webbed with old cuts, while his movements are quiet and measured, with each foot placed as though the ground might betray him. He wears a strip of blue tile around one wrist, polished smooth from years of rubbing it when anxious. His face is gaunt and tired, yet his smile is unexpectedly gentle and almost boyish. The contradiction is striking: he carries himself like a cornered animal but handles frightened children, injured strangers, and small birds with priestly patience.
“His voice is low, dry, and slightly hoarse from dust inhalation. He speaks in short practical sentences, but when describing the old city his language becomes unexpectedly precise and poetic.”

Distinguishing Features
A pale scar runs from the corner of his mouth to his jaw, making his neutral expression look faintly amused.
His fingernails are stained permanently blue from old tile glaze.
He has a missing upper canine and whistles softly through the gap when concentrating.
A small brass key is sewn beneath the skin of his forearm, hidden under scar tissue.
He smells faintly of wet clay, lamp oil, and crushed mint.
Voice
“A worn baritone with a rasp at the edges, like gravel dragged across a clay bowl.”
Clothing
A patched burlap shirt, ragged trousers tied with braided electrical wire, and a sleeveless coat made from stitched grain sacks. His feet are wrapped in layered cloth and leather scraps. A child's blue tile bracelet is his only clean possession.
Body Language
Tomas keeps his shoulders slightly hunched, as if expecting a ceiling to come down. He turns his head before his eyes, listens with his whole body, and rarely stands with both feet planted evenly. When relaxed, he rolls the blue tile around his wrist. When frightened, he becomes unnaturally still.
