Kharvok the Sentence-Bearer
Divine Arbiter
Kharvok the Sentence-Bearer
Species
Outsider
Appearance
Kharvok resembles a towering, broad-shouldered humanoid carved from black basalt and hammered iron. His skin is cold, matte stone veined with thin lines of dull red light, as though a furnace burns beneath his flesh. His head is crowned by six short iron horns arranged like the teeth of a seal, and his movements are unnervingly precise, each step landing with the finality of a judge's gavel. A heavy chain trails from his left wrist, dragging across the ground even when no chain is physically present. The contradictory element is his hands: despite his brutal purpose and immense strength, they are delicate and ink-stained, with narrow fingers suited to writing legal decrees rather than wielding weapons. He leaves behind the faint smell of rain on hot metal.
“His voice is low, dry, and resonant, like a verdict spoken inside a stone chamber. He never raises his volume when angry.”

Names glow beneath his translucent stone-flesh whenever he judges someone.
His left wrist is permanently bound to a spectral chain.
His shadow resembles a kneeling prisoner rather than his own body.

Voice
“A deep, metallic baritone with the faint echo of many whispering witnesses beneath it”
Clothing
A sleeveless black judicial mantle hangs from iron clasps at his shoulders. Beneath it he wears layered plates of gray metal engraved with thousands of tiny names. A red sash crosses his chest, stained with old ash rather than blood. His boots are square-toed and reinforced with silver nails, each nail representing a law he has personally enforced.
Body Language
Kharvok stands perfectly upright, with his hands folded behind his back unless violence has begun. He turns his entire torso toward whoever is speaking, as though placing them beneath formal examination. When angered, the red lines beneath his skin brighten and his chain rises from the ground one link at a time.
