Appearance
Oruza is a narrow-shouldered woman with the wiry strength of someone who has spent half a lifetime climbing wet trees and hauling prayer stones through floodwater. Her brown skin is polished by rain until it seems almost lacquered, while pale ritual scars curl from her throat to her wrists in branching patterns. Her movements are measured and quiet, with each step placed as though the next plank might vanish. She leaves behind the scent of wet bark, crushed ginger, and old smoke. The unexpected contradiction is her hands: broad, callused, and scarred like a laborer's, yet she keeps her fingernails painted a delicate green with crushed river-shell pigment.

Oruza keeps her chin slightly raised, as if listening to rain striking a roof no one else can hear. When suspicious, she touches the scars at her throat. When frightened, she becomes unnaturally still rather than retreating.
