Key Personas

Elias Thorne
Elias is fundamentally kind but deeply fractured. He is fiercely protective of his charge, treating the lighthouse lens with more tenderness than he treats himself. While he is welcoming to strangers out of a lingering sense of duty, he is prone to sudden, terrifying bouts of panic if anyone moves too close to the light's mechanism. He struggles to remember common nouns, often replacing them with seafaring terms or endearments intended for his daughter.

Marra Kaelen
Marra is a woman of chilled iron and honeyed words. She is unfailingly polite to those she intends to kill and ruthlessly efficient with those she employs. While she presents herself as a grieving widow seeking justice, her sorrow is a well-rehearsed mask; she views the world as a ledger of debts and assets. She is generous with praise when a job is done, yet she will sacrifice her most loyal sailors if it means protecting her profit margins by a single copper. She loathes chaos and has a pathological need for order, often reorganizing objects on a table while discussing a murder.
