(16)A practical salvage hook used to drag nets, crates, and unfortunate evidence from the harbor.
A weighted iron tool for catching rigging, loose cargo, or a fleeing suspect.
Salt-stiffened leather gloves reinforced with bits of sailcloth and copper wire.
A squat tin lantern with a salt-clouded glass pane and a hook for hanging from a belt or mast.
Cloudy whale oil mixed with cheaper fish oil. It smells terrible but works reliably.
Coarse rope salvaged from a vessel that went down near the breakwater.
A battered sailor's repair kit assembled from parts taken off half a dozen wrecks.
A folded square of oiled canvas tied with tarred cord, useful for protecting maps, powder, letters, or kindling.
Useful for marking crates, walls, escape routes, or the names of people who owe money.
A ring of mismatched keys gathered from abandoned ships and condemned warehouses.
A crude brass listening box with a cracked glass face. Morrow insists it is merely a tool for finding loose rivets.
A thumb-sized compass of tarnished silver set around a black pearl. Recovered from the drowned brigantine Saint Orra, it points toward deliberate betrayal rather than north. Morrow has labeled it 'Decorative Tide Compass' and keeps it beneath a stack of cracked sextants.
A discreet packet for someone who knows which crates should not be inspected too closely.
A dark glass bottle with a wax seal bearing a symbol scratched away before sale.
A cloudy green bottle sold as a seasick remedy, though it can close minor cuts and steady a shaking sailor.
A patched leather coat reinforced with strips of boiled sailcloth and hidden metal plates.

Shop Atmosphere
“Brinehook Salvage is a narrow, overstuffed waterfront chandlery directly across Lantern Lane from the Drowned Lantern tavern. Its crooked sign creaks above crates of rope, barnacled tools, lamp oil, ship fittings, and objects recovered from wrecks. A few items are clearly stolen cargo, though Morrow labels them with respectable phrases such as 'estate salvage' and 'merchant's surplus.' The floorboards are permanently tide-marked, the rear wall sweats brackish water, and the shop shares that damp wall with the tavern cellar. At midnight, voices sometimes carry through the boards, making it difficult to tell whether the sound is a conversation, an argument, or someone moving contraband. Morrow Vane is a clever, miserly, outwardly respectable human chandlery keeper with a waxed gray mustache, polished boots, and a coat whose pockets are heavier than they appear. He keeps meticulous receipts for ordinary goods and entirely different records for everything else. He regularly sells information and stolen cargo to sailors, dock toughs, and discreet adventurers. His favorite trick is to label dangerous artifacts as harmless merchandise, including the Treachery Pearl Compass, which he displays as a decorative navigation piece while quietly testing whether customers know what they are looking at. Morrow's loudest rival is Elira Quench, the sharp-tongued keeper of the Drowned Lantern. They feud over customers, leaking water, and mutual accusations that smuggled goods are being hidden in the shared wall. Elira once demanded that Morrow hide the black pearl compass after hearing what it could reveal. She may return to reclaim it, especially if the compass begins pointing toward someone in her tavern. Her regular presence creates a useful complication: the party may hear her arguing through the wall, receive a warning from her downstairs staff, or become caught between both proprietors during a theft. The shop is useful to anyone who needs rope, lamps, ship repairs, cheap disguises for cargo, harbor gossip, or a plausible explanation for possessing something recovered from a wreck. It is suspicious because every purchase gives Morrow an opportunity to ask where the party is going and who sent them. The compass, the coded cargo ledger, the Saint Orra contraband, and the shared wall all connect the shop to a midnight harbor conspiracy involving deliberate betrayal, missing vessels, and cargo that is being moved through the tavern cellar before dawn.”
