Blackfur Stalker
Dwarven miners call it a Blackfur Stalker, though older hunting records describe similar creatures as flintmaws or ashclaws. The individual in the upper half of Orebender Caverns was once a cautious denizen of a deep thermal hollow. Repeated pulses from the dwarven ward network have driven it from that nesting ground, disrupting its senses and making every sound feel like an attack. The upper dungeon entity has noticed the disturbance and is using the Stalker’s movements to track intruders or test the defenses.
