Ashfen Warden

Old tracks and singed leaves tell of a creature that will not let draconic seedlings be stolen. Hunters and sages whisper that Wardens once patrolled the border groves of a now-ruined dragon covenant, and that their seed-cores can be used to regrow charred forests—if the core can be cleansed of its hunger for ash.

Seedbond. The Warden has advantage on saving throws against being poisoned and is immune to disease. If the Warden starts its turn within 5 feet of its seed-core, it regains 7 hit points.
Ash Lacerations. A creature that ends its turn in an area created by Thornburst takes 3 () piercing damage as ash-thorns rake exposed flesh.
Hollow Heart. If the Warden is reduced to 0 hit points, the seed-core remains intact unless targeted and destroyed separately. Destroying the seed-core deals no immediate damage but prevents the Warden from regenerating and negates lair effects tied to the core.
Razorvine Talon. Melee Weapon Attack: to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 14 () slashing damage plus 7 () necrotic damage.
Ash Sleet Breath (Recharge 5-6). The wyrmling exhales a 30-foot cone of choking ash and thorn-sleet. Each creature in that area must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 27 () poison damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one. Creatures that fail the save are also blinded until the end of their next turn. The ash clings to flammable materials and ignites them on a failure by a creature that is carrying or wearing at least 5 pounds of highly flammable material (DM adjudication). Usable every 3 rounds.
Thornburst. The Warden lashes a trailing tendril of thorn-ash at a point it can see within 60 feet. A 10-foot radius burst centered on that point is covered in grasping vines and sharp ash. Creatures in the burst must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or become restrained and take 9 () piercing damage. A restrained creature can repeat the save at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. The area becomes difficult terrain for 1 minute.
Thornlash. When a creature within 10 feet strikes an allied plant creature or the seed-core, the Warden can use its reaction to lash out with a Thornlash: melee weapon attack to hit; on a hit the target takes 10 () piercing damage and is pushed 10 feet away.
Cantrips
Innate Plant MagicDivination/Transmutation The Warden can cast the following innate spells, requiring no material components. The save DC for these spells is 15. At will: speak with plants. 1/day each: plant growth, spike growth.
