Kaelen the Shorer
Species
Human
Appearance
Kaelen is a study in nervous energy and geometric precision. His frame is wiry and hunched from years of ducking under low-hanging cave ceilings. His hands are his most striking feature: permanently stained with a mixture of graphite and coal dust that has settled into the creases of his palms like a dark topographic map. He moves with a jerky, staccato rhythm, constantly glancing at the angles where the walls meet the ceiling. In a sharp contrast to his grime-covered leather vest and soot-streaked face, he keeps a pristine, lavender-scented silk handkerchief tucked into a breast pocket, which he uses exclusively to wipe his heavy spectacles. His eyes are wide and watery, giving him the appearance of a startled owl in the torchlight.
“Rapid-fire and technical, often forgetting to explain his jargon to others; he speaks in a stuttering monotone until he discusses architecture..”
