What was once a sophisticated series of channels for filtering sea salt has been reclaimed by the ocean’s most wretched denizens. Rusted iron portcullises hang precariously, held by chains half-eaten by corrosion. Deep within the lower chambers, the tide is rising, and with it come the things that belong in the dark, lightless trenches of the deep, now seeking sanctuary in these forgotten, grimy corridors.
