Amulet of the Dread Starlets

This amulet is forged from tarnished silver shaped into a thin crescent like a cracked moon, with a black opal set at its center. Within the opal drift pinpricks of blue-white light that resemble a night sky seen through deep water. When worn, a faint chill trails along the skin, and the air around it seems to dim by a fraction, as if daylight is remembering the grave. At dusk, the starlets within the gem slowly rearrange themselves into new constellations that suggest skulls, rib cages, and open hands.
