Ovenhart Hearthstaff

This staff is a family heirloom of the Ovenhart line, made from a spiral-grained oak core wrapped in bands of browned pastry-filigree and sealed with a glossy amber glaze that never melts. The head is crowned with a small iron oven-door motif and two curled cat-ear arcs of lacquered wood, while its shaft is etched with tiny recipe runes that smell faintly of cinnamon, butter, and warm yeast when the staff is readied for battle. When the wielder casts through it, flakes of enchanted dough drift from the grain and knit themselves into living shapes.
