Gorrin Vhalas
Paladin
Gorrin Vhalas
Species
Dragonborn
Appearance
Gorrin is a broad-shouldered bronze dragonborn with the look of a fortress that learned to walk. His scales are burnished copper on the face and throat, darkening to green-bronze along the arms and spine like weathered statue-patina, each scale edged with tiny scar lines that catch the light. He moves with careful, economical weight, as if every step has been measured to place his body between danger and the helpless. An unexpected softness breaks the silhouette of his armor: a faded crimson ribbon tied around one wrist, and a habit of polishing the inside of his shield more lovingly than the outside, as though he respects what it has protected more than what it has struck.
“Low, measured, and gravelly, with the cadence of a vow being recited aloud. He rarely wastes words, but when he does speak of duty, his tone becomes unexpectedly warm and reverent.”

Distinguishing Features
A cracked royal sigil has been filed away from one breastplate plate, leaving a pale outline beneath.
His left horn has been broken and repaired with gold wire.
Old burn scars cross the palm of his shield hand in the shape of a crescent.
His shield is larger than normal and marked with dozens of tiny names etched in concentric rings.
One eye reflects light with a faint amber sheen, as if forever seeing fire.
Voice
“A resonant baritone with a faint ember-hiss beneath the words, steady enough to calm panic and stern enough to stop a room.”
Clothing
Layered lamellar armor over padded black travel garb, a scarlet tabard cut away where the royal crest once hung, reinforced boots, and a shield harness worn under the left arm even when at rest
Body Language
Still as carved stone when assessing danger, but quick to step in front of others the instant tension rises. His shoulders square before he speaks, and his tail flicks once when he recognizes a lie.
