Appearance
Thalen Vey is a weather-browned human with the look of a man carved by salt, prayer, and sleepless nights. His face is long and lined, his beard clipped short but never fully dry, and his hands are rough with rope burn and ritual incense. He moves with a careful rolling gait as if he is always standing on a deck that may tilt at any moment. The odd thing about him is that he wears immaculate sea-glass prayer beads and a robe patched so many times it resembles a fisherman's net more than vestment. Even when exhausted, he smiles with disarming warmth, but his eyes stay fixed and hungry, as if he is forever listening for something vast beneath the waves.
“Soft, steady, and liturgical, with long pauses that feel like the hush before a wave breaks. He often uses phrases like 'by the turning tide,' 'for the hungry deep,' and 'let us not be found stingy before the sea.”
