The Red Harvest of the Vanguard

The field of battle is a vast sea of wreckage and ruin where the screams of the dying have finally faded into a heavy silence. Heaps of goblin and gnoll corpses are piled high around the massive, stinking forms of the four trolls that served as living battering rams. Sorting through the devastation, the party finds the arms and artifacts of the officers who led this doomed charge, along with the raw materials of the monstrous beasts that fought beside them. It is a grim bounty, won through fire and steel amidst the mud of a world at war.
