The Hollow Eye

A sphere of polished obsidian the size of a human skull, the Hollow Eye does not reflect light; instead, it seems to draw the environment into itself. Those who peer into its depths see not their own reflection, but a swirling, chaotic vortex of violet and pitch-black smoke that occasionally forms the shape of a lidless, weeping eye.
