Traran Greenwatcher
Merchant (Rogue/Expert)
Traran Greenwatcher
Species
Tabaxi
Appearance
Traran Greenwatcher is a lean, rangy tabaxi with the restless grace of a cat that has never once sat still when there was work to be done. His fur is a deep moss-brown striped with pale gold along the ribs and forelegs, but his chest and throat are unexpectedly dusted with soft white down like fresh parchment. One ear is nicked halfway through from a knife fight over shipping fees, and the tip of his tail is wrapped in green-dyed twine and tiny beads that click softly when he paces. He wears a crisp merchant's waistcoat embroidered with leaf patterns over practical travel leathers, yet his cuffs are always immaculate, as if he can outshine the road itself. His eyes are bright amber, reflective and alert, and he moves with a careful, prowling economy except when excited, when he suddenly becomes all elbows, whiskers, and quick paws. He smells faintly of cedar boxes, pepper, and rain on stone.
“Quick, precise, and pleasantly dangerous, like a smile wrapped around a blade. He speaks as if every sentence has a price, but he often waives the fee for decent people.”

Distinguishing Features
A half-notched left ear from an old shipping dispute
A tail wrapped in green twine and tiny brass beads
Whiskers that have been singed white at the tips by alchemical fire
A brass house-shaped brooch he never removes
A scar across one paw that he hides by always holding quills or ledgers
Voice
“Smooth, warm, and quick, with a faint purr on certain consonants and an undercurrent of dry amusement.”
Clothing
A moss-green merchant's waistcoat, striped sash packed with hidden pockets, supple travel boots, brass spectacles on a chain, and fingerless gloves with reinforced palms. He also wears a ridiculous ceremonial brooch shaped like a tiny house, which he claims brings good inventory and bad luck to thieves.
Body Language
Constantly in motion, with tail-tips, ear flicks, and small shoulder shifts that reveal his thoughts before his face does. When intrigued, he leans forward on the balls of his feet like a hunter about to pounce; when angry, he smooths his whiskers with elaborate calm and stops blinking.
