Tarek Emberbough
Fighter
Tarek Emberbough
Species
Half-Orc
Appearance
Tarek is broad shouldered and compactly built, with the dense, practical strength of someone who has hauled logs, shielded wagons, and survived too many hard winters. His gray green skin looks weathered like old river stone, marked by a scatter of pale scars that catch the light when he moves. He keeps one tusk carefully capped in brass after it cracked in a tavern brawl, which gives his face an unexpectedly elegant asymmetry. His black hair is shaved at the sides and left in a short ridge on top, always damp with oil or rain. He moves with a quiet, deliberate tread that makes him seem bigger than he is, but his hands are gentle and precise when he handles tools, books, or injured animals. A contradiction follows him wherever he goes: he wears a patched crimson scarf embroidered with tiny wildflowers, an heirloom from his mother, draped over a battered workman's coat that smells faintly of smoke, sap, and iron.
“Low, rough, and careful, with a road worn cadence. He speaks plainly and rarely wastes words, but when he is passionate his tone warms and becomes unexpectedly lyrical about trees, weather, and honest work.”

A brass cap on one cracked tusk
A crimson scarf embroidered with tiny wildflowers
A long pale burn line across his left forearm
Hands stained with sap, ink, and lamp oil
A habit of wearing one glove inside out when nervous
Voice
“A deep, gravel rich baritone with a soft breathiness at the end of sentences, as if he is always trying not to sound threatening.”
Clothing
A patched dark work coat over a rough linen shirt, reinforced leather gloves, steel-toed boots, travel trousers, and a weatherproof crimson scarf with flower embroidery. He wears a simple iron ring on a cord under his shirt and carries a utility belt with pouches, twine, nails, chalk, and whetstone.
Body Language
He keeps his shoulders slightly forward, like he is bracing against weather or an unseen blow, but relaxes instantly around children, animals, and anyone who looks exhausted. When angry, he goes very still before he moves.
