Sava Thorne
Ranger
Sava Thorne
Species
Human
Appearance
Taller than most humans and all angles, Sava looks as if she was carved from windblown bark and then left overnight in rain. Her skin is weathered olive with pale freckling across the cheeks and forearms, and her dark braided hair is threaded with thin copper rings and dried reed fibers. Her right shoulder is wrapped in a patched leather mantle that has been sewn over three times, while the left sleeve is immaculate silk from some long-ago noble gift. She moves with a quiet, stalking grace, but there is something unexpected about her warm, almost grandmotherly smile, which makes her seem more like a hearthkeeper than a hunter until she turns and every muscle goes alert.
“Low and precise, with a marsh-country cadence that softens at the ends of sentences; she rarely wastes words, but when moved she speaks with startling poetry drawn from birds, water, and rot..”
