Mirel Thorneveil
Envoy
Mirel Thorneveil
Species
Shattered Lily Kin
Appearance
Mirel is a slender, fox-faced Shattered Lily Kin with translucent ear-frills that catch the light like torn silk. Their skin has the pearly sheen of moonlit alabaster, but along the collarbones and wrists the surface is visibly cracked, as if fine porcelain had healed over old damage. They move with a careful envoy's glide, never quite hurrying, yet somehow always arriving first. A single contradiction makes them unforgettable: their clothing is immaculate court black and silver, but their gloves are perpetually stained with soil, pollen, and old ink. When they are amused, the faint seams in their cheeks glow a bruised rose color.
“Soft, precise, and lovingly formal, with a habit of turning threats into compliments and compliments into warnings..”

Distinguishing Features
A lattice of healed cracks across the throat and collarbones that catches light like spider silk.
A ring of tiny brass bells stitched inside the hem of one coat sleeve, which never seem to jingle unless Mirel wants them to.
One iris is pale gold and the other is a smoky violet.
Their left hand has a missing little finger, replaced by a carved bone cap.
A permanent faint scent of crushed lilies and rain-dark paper follows them.
Voice
“Warm, low, and velvety, with a faint smile in every syllable and a blade hidden behind the courtesy.”
Clothing
A tailored long coat of black velvet and silver thread, layered over a travel vest with hidden pockets, a high-collared linen shirt, fitted riding trousers, and soft boots wrapped for silence. A ceremonial sash of pale green ribbon is frayed at the ends, and a small pressed flower is always pinned near the left cuff.
Body Language
Mirel keeps their shoulders relaxed and their chin slightly lowered, as if always addressing someone more important than themselves. Their hands are expressive but restrained, shaping each point in the air like calligraphy. When threatened, they stop moving altogether, becoming eerily still before speaking.
