Geodette Rumbleshoe Vex
Species
Gnome
Appearance
Geodette is a compact gnome with weathered hands, a quick, intentional step, and a gaze that seems to measure the grain of every wall she enters. Her skin is a warm copper-cream tone dusted with pale freckles that gather thickly across her nose and knuckles, as if she has spent years under drifting stone dust. She wears her auburn hair in a severe braid coiled into a loop at the back of her head, but the ends are always coming loose in wiry, rebellious tufts. Her eyes are amber with flecks of green, bright and amused one moment, faraway and calculating the next. She favors sturdy slate-gray work coats over practical skirts reinforced with hidden pockets, silver buckles, chalk pouches, and tiny brass tools. Her most striking contradiction is that her clothes are muddy, patched, and work-scarred, yet each seam is embroidered with tiny threads of polished mica that catch candlelight like stars.
“Low, crisp, and oddly musical, with the cadence of someone reading measurements aloud. She uses precise technical terms when upset and affectionate nicknames when relieved.”

Distinguishing Features
A crescent-shaped scar across her left palm from a runic stone fracture
Tiny brass filings embedded in the nails of her right hand
One eye slightly clouded at the edge from an old blast of alchemical lime
A charm bracelet made of miniature tool heads and polished pebbles
A habit of smelling faintly of rain on rock and hot metal
Voice
“Clear, gravel-soft, and precise, with a warmth that appears only when she talks about her family or her work”
Clothing
A soot-gray reinforced work coat with hidden compartments, leather trousers, reinforced boots with steel toes, a chalk belt, brass goggles, and a folded scarf that doubles as a dust mask
Body Language
She leans slightly forward when listening, with fingers always in motion as though shaping invisible mortar. In calm conversation she is still and precise, but when excited she rocks on her heels like a spring under tension. She points with a chisel instead of a finger whenever one is nearby.
