Appearance

Shtishlov is a lean ravenfolk with a hunter's stillness that makes him seem carved from storm-shadow rather than flesh. His feathers are dark silver with an oil-slick sheen along the edges, brushed clean but never fully tamed, and they ripple when he is thinking as if a wind only he can feel were moving through him. He wears 12th-century inspired Tsardom leather armor dyed cerulean blue and black, the blue faded at the seams from rain and travel, the black polished by oil and use. A surprising touch of vanity survives in him: he keeps one shoulder clasp fastened with a bright copper sun-brooch, as if daring the world to mistake him for a gloom-bird. He moves in measured bursts, head jerking in quick precise angles, and when he stops he is unnervingly motionless, like a drawn bow waiting for permission to become an arrow.

Distinguishing Features

A pale scar across the beak ridge from an old signal flare burn.

Copper sun-brooch on the left shoulder, oddly cheerful against his dark armor.

One primary feather on his right wrist dyed red by an old oath ceremony.

A habit of blinking one eye at a time when lying or deciding whether to lie.

Voice

Quiet, dry, and observant, with a thin edge of fatigue beneath every careful word.

Clothing

Cerulean-and-black Tsardom leather armor, wool underlayers, fingerless archery gloves, high riding boots, a rain cloak lined with slate-gray fur, and a belt loaded with chalk, cord, arrow wax, and map tubes.

Body Language

Head tilted slightly as though listening to distant rain, shoulders held tight but ready to spring, talons tapping a private rhythm when impatient, and sudden motion replaced by complete stillness the moment danger appears.
