Elara Thorneveil
Ranger
Elara Thorneveil
Species
Human
Appearance
Elara moves like someone who learned to walk in mud, each step soft and exact, yet she carries herself with a startling, disciplined elegance. Her clothes are weatherworn at the hems and patched with leaf-fiber stitching, but the patchwork is so carefully mended that it looks intentional, almost ceremonial. She wears a faded green hood, a river-stained leather harness, and a silver pin shaped like a heron, though she distrusts noble symbols and claims to hate ornament. Her right glove is always immaculate while the left is permanently smudged with dark marsh silt. She smells faintly of wet cedar, lamp oil, and iron coins. The most memorable thing about her is the contradiction of her face: a calm, almost tender smile paired with eyes that never stop measuring exits.
“Low and precise, with a marsh-country lilt and a habit of pausing before dangerous words.”
