Sun-Quiet Temple
The broken prayers still answer, but only to the hungry and the damned.
This buried temple was once a disciplined house of healing and oathbinding, but it has become a trapped warren of broken sanctity and hungry guardians. The deeper chambers still pulse with violated divine power, and every hall feels like it is waiting to test the faith, greed, or courage of intruders.
Cold incense clings to cracked stone, mixed with wet dust and the metallic tang of old blood. Faint chanting seems to drift through the halls, but it always ends in a cough of settling rubble or the scrape of something moving in the dark. Pale votive lamps still burn in a few niches, throwing nervous light across carved saints with their faces chiseled away.
☠ Threat
A parasite spirit called the Hollow Abbot has possessed the temple's last high priest and now uses the old wards to feed on intruders, devout offerings, and lingering faith. It commands lesser guardians and has awakened the temple's traps into a hungry cycle of punishment, especially near the inner sanctum and reliquary.
History
The Sun-Quiet Temple was raised by oath-priests who served as judges, healers, and keepers of grave vows for a border kingdom. They sealed a blasphemous relic beneath the central altar after a plague of false miracles spread through the region. When the priesthood split over how to contain it, the lower chambers were locked, and the temple was abandoned to silence and rot.
