This abandoned castle has been hollowed into a layered stronghold of failed defenses, secret passages, and buried shame. What was once a seat of rule now serves as a maze of armed holdouts, old wards, and a lurking power that has learned to feed on the castle's forgotten violence.

Cold draft winds through cracked stone and arrow slits, carrying the smell of old soot, damp wool, and iron rust. Faint echoes of boots, clinking chains, and distant chanting drift from deeper halls, while torchlight gutters in greenish pools where mold and old enchantments cling to the walls.

☠ Threat

The dungeon is ruled by Sir Harrow Vane, a deathless castellan who has stitched himself to the castle's old oath magic. He commands surviving soldiers, animated dead, and trapped corridors, using the secret passage network to isolate intruders before he strikes from the hidden boss chamber. If he is not stopped, he will reclaim the castle by feeding every captive soul into the failing blood-seal beneath the shrine.

History

Castle Veyren was raised by a border lord to hold a mountain pass and keep trade safe from raiders. After a siege shattered the outer keep, the surviving court turned inward and fortified the inner halls, sealing prisoners, relics, and dissent alike below the throne level. In time, the court died, but the castle remained occupied by scavengers, oath-breakers, and the thing that awakened in the old chapel.
