Founder’s Story

Archmage Valerius Thorne founded the order after witnessing the collapse of a minor deity. He realized that even divine power is finite. He blinded himself with a ritual involving starlight to gain 'Blind-Sight' into the Weave, allowing him to see where magical energy was fraying. He spent his final decades building the Silent Observatory and training the first generation of Scribes to 'stitch' the world back together using silver needles and astral thread.
