The swarm's nest lies in a damp chamber where old masonry has cracked open to reveal a slick bed of acid mushrooms. Among the gnawed bones and blackened straw, the party finds a few valuables dropped by prior victims, one intact healing draught, and a flask of alchemical fire that the rats somehow dragged into their den. The rest is grim salvage: fungal-stained rubble, bone fragments, and foul but usable crafting materials tainted by necrotic rot and caustic spores.
