The Forgotten Scout's Hollow

Tucked away beneath the twisting roots of an ancient willow, you find a weathered leather rucksack half-buried in the soft loam. The buckle is rusted shut, but the contents within have been shielded from the worst of the forest dampness. It appears to have belonged to a traveler who stopped to rest and never moved on, leaving behind several utilitarian items and a few trinkets gathered from the surrounding woods.
