The Riverbank's Heavy Burden

Beneath the fog-shrouded piers of the gloomy town, the party discovers a silt-covered haversack tangled in the reeds. It appears to have been hidden in haste, or perhaps lost by someone fleeing from the shadows. The contents are a mix of mundane river-life essentials and the chilling, luminous currency used by those who skulk in the dark corners of the marshes, known as The Whispers in the Reeds. The air around the bag feels unnaturally cold, and a faint sound of distant laughter seems to emanate from the glowing phials tucked deep within the internal pockets.
