Mantle of the Eightfold Throne

This cloak is woven from liquid-black silk that seems to drink in torchlight. Its hem crawls with stitched silver threads shaped like tiny legs, and the clasp is a polished chitin brooch formed as a many-eyed widow. When worn, the cloth feels warm and faintly alive, as if countless patient things are breathing just beneath the fabric. In dim light, thin veils of webbing shimmer across its surface, and a wearer who stands still may appear to have too many shadows.
