Meridian Staff of Fourfold Command
This quarterstaff is built like a precision instrument rather than a simple weapon. Its shaft is forged from dark alloy bands wrapped around a core of translucent crystal, and four rotating rings hover near the grip, each etched with tiny sigils and inset with a different elemental lens: blue glass for air, pearl for water, ironstone for earth, and ember-red quartz for fire. When held, faint streams of light race through the staff like current through a machine, and each ring clicks into alignment with a soft whir whenever its element is called. The head of the staff splits into prongs of polished brass, giving the whole weapon the look of a ceremonial tool, a control rod, and a spell engine all at once.
