Uthgard Totem Pebble

A thumb-sized, uncut gemstone the color of deep glacier ice, the Uthgard Totem Pebble is rough at the edges and threaded with pale silver veins that seem to shift like frozen river cracks. One face bears a shallow ancient groove where leather cord once held it aloft, while the other is etched with tiny tribal marks worn almost smooth by generations of touch. When held, it is cold but never painful, and a faint halo of rime gathers on nearby metal and glass.
