Iron Brim of the Nightward

This iron brim hat is forged from matte-black iron so thin it feels impossibly light, yet it rings like a struck bell when tapped. Its wide brim curves downward in a severe line, shadowing the face of the wearer even in bright sunlight. The crown is wrapped with a band of blackened silver etched with tiny sigils of dusk, and the inner lining is soft charcoal silk that never warms.
