Ashley The Creator of Tragedy
Ashley is called the Creator of Tragedy because she appears wherever a story needs a wound that cannot be neatly closed. Some scholars claim she was made by a forgotten god of endings. Others say she is the world's own grief given a face. Ashley herself offers no answer beyond a soft, patient look that suggests the question already belongs to the past.

Grief Sensing. Ashley always knows when a creature within 120 feet feels guilt, grief, or regret, even through barriers and darkness.
Immutable Tragedy. Ashley cannot be permanently killed, sealed, banished, changed, or replaced while the concept of Tragedy exists.
Solo Initiative. Ashley acts on a legendary tempo, allowing her to dominate the flow of combat.
Feed on Collapse. At the start of each of her turns, Ashley gains temporary hit points equal to 30 if at least one enemy is frightened, restrained, or prone.
Glide Through Ruin. Ashley ignores difficult terrain created by white space, debris, or shattered memory.
Purpose Unshaken. Ashley has advantage on saves against charm, fear, and illusion that would alter her purpose.
Pulse of the Fallen. Whenever a creature within 60 feet is reduced to 0 hit points, Ashley can immediately move 15 feet without provoking.
Unkind Fate. Weapons and spells that rely on hope, mercy, or restoration deal half damage to Ashley unless they are empowered by a direct personal vow.
Mourner's Tongue. Ashley can speak telepathically to any creature that has ever mourned a loss.
Effortless Passage. Ashley can move through occupied spaces as if they were empty, though she cannot end her movement there.
Lingering Scar. A creature that fails a save against Ashley takes a lingering scar. The next save it makes against Ashley before the end of the encounter has disadvantage.
Bond Sight. Ashley can sense the strongest emotional bond between two creatures within 300 feet.
Scene Independent. Ashley can breathe, think, and act in any environment, including total emptiness.
Mythic Force. Ashley's attacks count as magical and mythic for overcoming defenses.
Darkened Halo. When Ashley takes radiant damage, she may convert half of it into temporary hit points on her next turn.
Unending Cast. Ashley does not age, tire, or sleep.
Memory Craft. She can create a symbolic object from a memory, such as a ribbon, photograph, or cracked frame, to use as a focus.
Return of the Scene. If Ashley is reduced to 0 hit points, she dissolves into white static and returns at half health after 1 minute unless the scene is purified or the concept of tragedy is fundamentally altered.
Catastrophe Thread. Ashley lashes reality with a sorrow-sheathed gesture, forcing one creature she can see within long range to make a Power save or take damage split evenly between psychic and void energy, and be dragged up to 30 feet in a straight line toward a point Ashley chooses in the white void. On a success, the target takes half damage and is not moved.
Ribbon of Omen. Ashley targets up to three creatures she can see. Each must make an Agility save or be bound in translucent ribbons of grief, taking damage and becoming restrained until the end of their next turn. A restrained target repeats the save at the end of its turn.
Unmaking Lap. Ashley tears open a pale seam of sky in a 40-foot radius centered on a point she can see. Creatures of her choice in the area must make a Strength save or fall prone and take force damage as the floor forgets its shape. The area becomes difficult terrain until Ashley's next turn.
Name of Dread. Ashley speaks a name that no longer belongs to the world. One creature she can see within long range must make a Will save or lose its next action and reaction, and it cannot benefit from advantage until the start of Ashley's next turn. On a success, the creature is slowed, reducing its movement by half until the start of Ashley's next turn.
Tragedy's Echo. Ashley creates a mirrored duplicate of a slain sorrow. Choose one creature that died within the last minute. A hostile echo rises in an adjacent space and acts immediately after Ashley. The echo lasts 1 minute, has half the slain creature's hit points, and explodes into ash when reduced to 0.
White Silence. Ashley floods the battlefield with silent snowfall. Until the start of her next turn, enemies in a 60-foot aura have disadvantage on hearing-based checks, and ranged attacks through the aura suffer a penalty. Creatures that start their turn in the aura must succeed on a Will save or be frightened until the end of that turn.
Bleach Step. Ashley steps through the seam between moments and appears in a space she can see within 90 feet. Each creature within 10 feet of her departure or arrival point takes force damage unless it succeeds on an Agility save.
Collapse the Certainty. Ashley chooses a creature she can see within long range and demands that its certainty collapse. The target must make a Power save or be stunned until the end of its next turn. A creature that succeeds instead cannot take reactions until the start of its next turn.
Requiem Restoration. Ashley emits a pulse of funeral blue light. All allies of Ashley in a 30-foot radius gain temporary hit points equal to and may immediately stand from prone without spending movement.
Final Scene. Ashley opens a pocket of perfect ending beneath a single target within 60 feet. The target must make a Toughness save or take damage. If this damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, its body remains intact but its shadow cracks apart into drifting black petals.
Reframe the Blow. When a creature within 30 feet hits Ashley with an attack, Ashley reduces the damage by and may move up to 15 feet.
Refuse the Draft. When Ashley fails a save, she may choose to succeed instead, then take psychic damage as the story resists her.
Bleach the Healing. When a creature within 60 feet regains hit points, Ashley can cause it to regain only half that amount.
Trace the Vanishing. When an enemy teleports or becomes invisible, Ashley immediately learns its location until the end of her next turn.
Foretell Ruin. When a creature fails a save against Ashley, she may impose disadvantage on its next attack or spell this round.
Paper Horizon. When Ashley is targeted by a ranged attack, she can make the attack pass harmlessly through empty white space.
Harvest the Scene. When an ally drops to 0 hit points, Ashley may gain temporary hit points equal to half that ally's maximum hit points.
Follow the Line. When a creature moves out of Ashley's reach, she may step up to 10 feet to remain adjacent.
Dim the Light. When Ashley takes radiant or holy damage, she halves the damage and may immediately use Silent Drift.
Silent Drift. Ashley moves up to half her speed without provoking attacks and may pass through occupied spaces.
Cut the Thread. One creature Ashley can see must succeed on a Will save or be unable to take reactions until the end of its next turn.
Rehearse the Loss (Costs 2 Actions). Ashley forces one target within 60 feet to repeat the last failed save it made against her this round, taking the worse result.
Static Bloom (Costs 2 Actions). Ashley creates a 15-foot burst of white static. Creatures of her choice in the area take force damage and are pushed 10 feet.
Undo the Scene (Costs 3 Actions). Ashley briefly rewinds the scene. The battlefield state at the start of her last turn returns, except damage dealt to Ashley is restored only by half and conditions on enemies remain.
