Appearance
Brother Halan is a broad-shouldered bronze dragonborn whose scales have dulled to the color of old embers and soot-polished copper. Deep fissure scars cross his lower jaw where heat once peeled the plating near to the bone, and the ridge beneath one horn has been mended with a silver pin that catches torchlight like a sliver of moon. He wears a weathered cloak that smells faintly of ash, rain, and lamp oil, the hem singed in half a dozen places. His movements are economical and deliberate, like a man walking through an invisible firebreak. The unexpected thing about him is the care he gives to his gear, which is almost delicate, as if each battered clasp were a relic from a temple rather than a tool of war.
