Veyr Arclune
Fighter, shadow-touched bodyguard
Veyr Arclune
Species
Human
Appearance
Veyr Arclune is a tall human encased in black full plate mail so polished it reflects light like cold oil, yet the reflections never quite match his movements. The armor is etched with fine crescent lines and tiny sealed vents that whisper when he breathes. He wears a narrow steel light shield scored by old sword cuts, and on his brow rests a black crown set with a single glassy eye that seems to look a half-second ahead of everyone else. His face is sharp and hollow-cheeked, with a scar that splits one eyebrow and a mouth that rarely fully relaxes. The most unsettling part is the contradiction he carries everywhere: despite all the iron and menace, his gloves are carefully mended in pale blue thread, almost ceremonial in their neatness.
“Low, precise, and spare. He speaks like each word has been weighed for liability, but his tone softens around children, the wounded, and anyone who calls him by name instead of title.”

Distinguishing Features
A black iron crown with a single watchful eye gemstone.
A scar through the left eyebrow and upper cheek.
Shadowed reflections that appear a beat late in polished surfaces.
Blue-thread repairs in the seams of his gauntlets.
A faint smell of rain on stone, even in dry weather.
Voice
“A restrained baritone with a faint rasp, like steel drawn slowly from a sheath.”
Clothing
Black full plate mail with matte lacquered panels, a steel light shield, a dark cloak lined in charcoal velvet, and a narrow crown of iron and obsidian holding a single eye-shaped gem.
Body Language
Still and economical in motion, as if every gesture has been rehearsed in armor. He keeps one hand near his sword hilt and angles his shield toward open space, even in conversation. When irritated, the crown eye tilts first, then his head follows.
