Zarkat Irontusk
Fighter
Zarkat Irontusk
Species
Half-orc
Appearance
Zarkat is a broad-shouldered half-orc with the stance of a brawler who has learned patience. His skin is a weathered moss-green, crossed by pale scar lines that catch the light like old stitches. One tusk is intact and polished smooth, while the other is chipped near the tip and capped in silver. He wears an apron of dark leather over a chain shirt, the apron stitched with tiny brass rings and scorch marks from years at the forge-side counter. His hands are huge, scarred, and surprisingly careful, with clean nails and thread wrapped around one thumb for measuring lengths of cord. He moves with a rolling, deliberate stride, but his eyes flick everywhere at once. The most unexpected thing about him is the delicate copper pince-nez perched on a strap at his neck, which he uses for reading invoices with intense solemnity.
“He speaks in a low, rasping baritone, clipped and deliberate, with the habit of ending sentences like orders even when he is being kind. When he warms to someone, his language becomes surprisingly precise, almost scholarly, especially about steel, weight, and leverage.”

Ink-stained fingers from bookkeeping mixed with calluses from swordwork
A small iron key on a cord around his neck that never leaves his skin

Body Language
He keeps his elbows close, shoulders squared, and chin slightly lowered as if perpetually braced for impact. When amused, only one tusk-bare corner of his mouth moves. When angry, he becomes unnervingly still before speaking.
