Monow Veyr
Ranger
Monow Veyr
Species
Previously human, Far-Realm warped
Appearance
Monow looks like a human remembered by a dream that has been shaken violently in the dark. Their face is a kaleidoscope of mismatched human features: three eyes set at uneven angles, two mouths, one of them always slightly smiling at the wrong moment, one nose that bends like softened wax, and three ears of different shapes. Their body has three arms and three legs, each joint placed as though assembled by a distracted artisan, yet they move with eerie efficiency, twisting sideways to keep balance. Their skin shifts complexion from limb to limb, mottling between ash-gray, sunburn gold, algae green, and bruised violet as if their flesh cannot decide what it is. They wear battered leathers patched with both animal sinew and silver thread, and a hood that seems too large until it swallows one of their faces. The most unsettling thing is the contradiction in their manner of movement: they are all sharp, predatory angles, yet they step with the careful tenderness of someone trying not to wake a child.
“Low, careful, and slightly echoing, as if two different versions of the same sentence are trying to fit through their throat at once..”

Distinguishing Features
Three eyes that do not focus on the same point, giving them a perpetually distracted but predatory stare.
Two mouths with different expressions, one often grinning when the other is speaking.
A faint violet seam in the skin where the obelisk shard once pierced them.
Three legs arranged unevenly, producing a sideways, crablike gait that becomes fluid when they sprint.
Their shadow sometimes lags a heartbeat behind them in places touched by Far Realm influence.
Voice
“Quiet, rasping, and oddly musical, with pauses in places where a normal speaker would breathe.”
Clothing
Layered travel leathers, a cloak lined with scavenged black feathers, mismatched gloves with finger cuts for three hands, and a bandolier of charms, cord, and dried herbs
Body Language
Monow constantly offsets their weight, as if anticipating the ground to tilt. Their three hands never stay still, one usually resting on a weapon, one on a charm, and one tracing invisible symbols in the air. When nervous, all three mouths move as though arguing over the same thought.
