Ssesha Vhal
Species
Yuan-ti pureblood
Appearance
Ssesha Vhal is a tan-scaled yuan-ti pureblood with a broad cobra hood marked by pale cream bands, intelligent emerald-green eyes, and a narrow humanlike face softened by delicate scales around the cheeks. Her scales have the dry satin texture of polished pottery, while the edges of her hood are roughened from years of desert wind. She moves with startling stillness, then glides forward in one fluid motion, making crowded rooms seem to part for her. Her most unexpected feature is a small, crooked smile that appears almost grandmotherly when she is angry. She leaves an impression of cultivated warmth held over something ancient, watchful, and venomous.
“Her voice is smooth, husky, and deliberately unhurried, with a faint dry rasp on sibilant sounds. She speaks as though every sentence has already been measured into a cup.”

Distinguishing Features
Broad cobra hood with pale cream bands.
Green eyes with narrow black pupils that remain focused even in crowds.
A chipped left fang capped with a tiny brass sleeve.
A faint scar crossing the underside of her hood from a water rationing enforcer's blade.
Her shadow sometimes seems to sway like reeds even when the lanterns are still.
Voice
“A calm contralto with a dry rasp, controlled warmth, and a dangerous softness when crossed.”
Clothing
A sleeveless indigo wrap coat layered over cream linen, a copper belt hung with keys and measuring spoons, soft desert sandals, and a translucent veil worn only when crossing the marketplace. Her cuffs are embroidered with tiny green glass beads representing water drops.
Body Language
Ssesha keeps her hood half-spread when welcoming guests and folds it tight when calculating risk. She tilts her head toward sounds that others miss, rests one claw against the rim of a cup when lying, and becomes perfectly motionless when genuinely furious.
