Appearance
Perrin Voss is a broad-shouldered dwarf with soot worked so deeply into the grain of his skin that even a hot wash cannot scrub it clean. He moves with a compact, grudging economy, every step measured as if he is conserving effort for more important failures. His sleeves are always rolled high, revealing forearms corded like old rope and freckled with pale burn scars. A bright brass button, polished to absurd shine, is sewn into the cuff of one sleeve as a strange, almost affectionate vanity. His beard is iron-gray, forked at the end, and often braided with wire clips, hammer charms, and bits of rejected rivets. His face seems permanently set against disappointment, but his eyes still flare alive when he sees honest work done well.
“Low, clipped, and gravelly, with the cadence of someone counting costs in their head. He rarely raises his voice, but when he does it cuts like a hammer strike.”

A charcoal leather apron over a patched red-brown work shirt, thick gloves tucked through his belt, soot-dark trousers, and iron-toed boots scarred by sparks. He wears one sleeve reinforced with old mail rings and a copper wrist wrap to protect against the forge's heat.
Body Language
He stands square to people, shoulders forward, hands never far from his tools. When irritated, he leans closer instead of stepping back. When pleased, he nods once, as if granting a scarce resource.
