Appearance
Tobice Mugrogers is a slight, work-worn human with a face that looks carved from damp parchment and a posture that keeps trying to apologize. Their hands are narrow and quick, stained with ink, lamp soot, and the metallic blue of accounting chalk. A seam of silver scar tissue runs from the left ear to the collarbone, but it is partly hidden by a neat ribbon collar and a necklace of tiny brass ledger tags. They move with a soft, measured shuffle, except when something fascinates them, at which point they become startlingly swift. The contradictory detail that people remember is their immaculate, embroidered cuffs, which are always spotless even when the rest of them is covered in grime.
“Low and careful, with a dry dockside lilt and the habit of pausing exactly before the important word..”

Distinguishing Features
A silver fire scar tracing the left side of the neck
Ink-black fingertips that never fully wash clean
Brass ledger-tags sewn inside the lining of the coat
One front tooth capped in pale enamel after a childhood fall from a dock crane
Voice
“Soft, precise, and unexpectedly dry, like a quill scratching over wet parchment”
Clothing
A soot-dark waistcoat with too many hidden pockets, oilskin cuffs stitched in pale thread, a high-collared shirt, soft canal boots, and a folded apron they wear only when expecting trouble
Body Language
Hands stay busy, usually tapping an invisible ledger line on the thumb or folding into a precise, narrow clasp. When irritated, Tobice tilts their head slightly as if listening to a balance sheet. When pleased, they lean forward instead of smiling.
