Varek Nimm
Bard
Varek Nimm
Species
Human
Appearance
A tall, marsh-thin human with a face painted into a permanent smile that has cracked like old porcelain. His greasepaint is chalk-white in the hollows and rust-red around the mouth, as if he has been laughing while bleeding for years. He moves with a jerky, puppeted bounce, then freezes unnervingly still when he thinks he is being watched. The strangest detail is his polished, child-sized black shoes, pristine and carefully mended, which are absurdly dainty beneath his spindly frame and leave no mud even in the worst roads. He smells faintly of lamp oil, wet hay, and sugared almonds gone bitter.
“Soft, lilting, and unnervingly cheerful, with sudden drops into dry whispers when he wants a point to stick..”
