Blackglass Castle
The dead still serve, and the lord beneath the hill has begun to wake.
Blackglass Castle stands buried beneath a wooded hill, its towers broken and its halls sealed by rusted iron. The surviving chambers are still maintained by unseen servants, and every passage seems arranged to draw intruders toward the sleeping vampire lord below.
Cold, damp air clings to the halls, carrying the scents of wet stone, old roses, and spilled blood. Moonlight filters through colored glass even where no windows remain, while distant chains clink and something occasionally scratches beneath the floors.
☠ Threat
Lord Alric Veyr, the castle's vampire lord, lies dormant in the deepest chamber while his servants restore his strength through stolen blood. He is not yet at the height of his power, but every intruder feeds the castle's defenses and hastens his awakening. If the hidden reliquary remains intact, Alric can recover from wounds that should destroy him.
History
Blackglass Castle was built by House Veyr, a noble family charged with guarding the mountain road. During a winter siege, Lord Alric Veyr accepted a pact from a wandering undead sorcerer, trading his mortal life for the strength to save his people. The pact succeeded, but Alric became a vampire and secretly transformed the surviving household into servants. The castle was sealed after priests trapped him below.
