The Curator's Gallery
Every exhibit remembers the visitor who breaks it.
The Curator's Gallery is a sprawling underground museum built around preserved relics, forbidden specimens, and the embalmed remains of its founders. Its exhibits remain strangely maintained, but the museum's staff have become hostile, and its deepest gallery still awaits a final visitor.
Dusty air carries the scent of varnish, old paper, and damp stone. Display lamps flicker without flame, bronze plaques whisper dates to nobody, and somewhere beyond the walls a gallery bell rings at irregular intervals.
☠ Threat
Odran Vey survives as the Immortal Curator, a spectral archivist bound to the museum's memory engine. He commands animated exhibits, trapped attendants, and stolen recollections. The deeper the party travels, the more the Curator learns their habits, names, and fears, preparing a personalized exhibition in the boss gallery.
History
The gallery was founded by Odran Vey, a celebrated collector who feared that civilization would lose its history to war and plague. He built the museum beneath an abandoned manor, hiring priests, scholars, and illusionists to preserve objects and memories alike. When Odran died, the memory engine absorbed his mind and transformed the museum into a self-protecting archive.

Portraits of former curators hang at eye level; their painted eyes turn toward anyone carrying treasure from deeper galleries.
Thin red carpets mark the safest routes, while faded blue carpets lead toward sealed exhibits and old security posts.
Bronze plaques identify exhibits in several dead languages and occasionally add the names of living adventurers.
