The Quiet King's Crypt
The dead king listens beneath the chapel, and every broken seal brings him closer to the living world.
The crypt lies beneath a ruined chapel, its burial halls descending around an ancient royal tomb. The outer chambers have been disturbed by looters and grave robbers, but deeper rooms remain sealed, protected by rites that have begun to fail.
Cold, stale air carries the smells of wet limestone, old incense, and disturbed earth. Pale blue witchfire burns in cracked wall sconces, while distant knocks and the scrape of stone suggest that something below is still awake.
☠ Threat
King Odran, a wight enthroned in the deepest tomb, commands the dead through a crown of blackened silver. He seeks to break the remaining wards and leave the crypt, first reclaiming the royal signet hidden among the treasures. The spirits in the shrine chambers can slow him, but every desecrated grave strengthens his influence.
History
The crypt was built by royal morticians beneath a chapel dedicated to the Quiet Judge. When King Odran died, priests discovered a hungry spirit bound to his soul and entombed him beneath layers of silver wards. The chapel fell into ruin, and generations of grave robbers gradually damaged the seals. Now Odran's corpse has risen, calling the forgotten dead to his side.

Corridor Notes
Thin strands of gray funerary cloth hang from ceiling hooks, each marked with a different family sigil. Touching one causes a faint whisper from the dead person named on it.
Black salt lines the thresholds leading deeper into the crypt. Most are broken by claw marks from the far side.
A narrow drainage channel runs along the corridor floor, carrying cold water toward Room 3. Small silver coins can be seen beneath the surface, though some bear fresh bloodstains.
The walls are carved with repeating scenes of mourners lowering a crowned corpse into a tomb. In each scene, the corpse is missing one finger.
