The Unwritten Augur - AI-generated fantasy Monster

The Unwritten Augur

The augur was once the chief census-mage of a powerful city-state. After discovering that every major disaster began as a statistically insignificant choice, it abandoned ordinary governance and began pruning the city's future. It now manipulates elections, murders witnesses before crimes occur, and engineers small tragedies to prevent larger ones. Its greatest fear is not death, but an event that cannot be predicted.

Spellcasting. The augur is a 16th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Intelligence, spell save , and to hit with spell attacks. It requires no material components for its divination spells.
Perfect Foresight. The augur cannot be surprised and adds its Intelligence modifier to initiative rolls. Other creatures do not gain advantage on attack rolls against the augur as a result of being unseen by it.
Omen Dice. The augur has three d20s called omen dice. Before the start of its next turn, it can replace any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by itself or a creature it can see with one of these rolls. It regains all expended omen dice after finishing a long rest.
Prophet's Defiance. The augur has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects. When it succeeds on a saving throw against an effect that would deal half damage, it instead takes no damage.
Eyes Beyond the Veil. The augur can see invisible creatures and objects, automatically knows when a creature within 60 feet is lying, and can see through up to 1 foot of nonmagical material.
Anchored Concentration. The augur has advantage on saving throws made to maintain concentration on divination spells.
Multiattack. The augur makes two attacks with Fate-Severing Bolt, or it uses one action from its spellcasting feature.
Fate-Severing Bolt. Ranged Spell Attack: to hit, range 120 ft., one target. Hit: 18 () force damage, and the target cannot benefit from advantage on attack rolls or ability checks until the end of the augur's next turn.
Catastrophic Premonition. The augur chooses a point it can see within 120 feet. Each creature in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on that point must make a Intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 45 () psychic damage and is stunned until the end of the augur's next turn. On a successful save, it takes half damage and is not stunned. The augur can use this action once per round.
Entangle the Future. The augur chooses up to three creatures it can see within 120 feet. Each target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become cursed by a visible thread of possible futures for 1 minute. While cursed, the target subtracts from attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
Folded Street. The augur teleports to an unoccupied space it can see within 60 feet. Before or after teleporting, it can cause one creature within 5 feet of its destination to make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 22 () force damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one.
Foreseen Outcome. When the augur or a creature it can see within 60 feet makes an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check, the augur can replace the d20 roll with a 17. The augur can use this reaction three times per round, but no more than once per triggering roll.
Already Avoided. When the augur is hit by an attack, it reduces the damage by 15 and teleports up to 15 feet to an unoccupied space it can see. The augur can use this reaction once per round.
Predictive Step. The augur makes one Fate-Severing Bolt attack or moves up to half its speed without provoking opportunity attacks.
Close the Route (Costs 2 Actions). One creature the augur can see within 60 feet must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or have its speed reduced to 0 and be unable to take reactions until the end of its next turn.
Foreseen Spell (Costs 2 Actions). The augur casts a spell of 3rd level or lower that has a casting time of 1 action.
Rewrite Position (Costs 3 Actions). The augur uses Folded Street and can make one Fate-Severing Bolt attack after teleporting.
