Rhoswen Veylith
Wizard, Chronurgy Tradition
Rhoswen Veylith
Species
High Elf
Appearance
Rhoswen looks like a woman carved from moonlit birch and then carefully repaired after being broken. Her movements are quiet but never delicate, each step landing with the certainty of a falling stone. Her face is narrow, expressive, and marked by fine silver cracks that glow faintly whenever she casts a spell. Her hands are ink-stained to the wrists, while her fingernails are polished black and filed to points. She smells of rain, extinguished candles, and crushed juniper. The unexpected contradiction is her smile, which is broad, warm, and almost grandmotherly despite the unnerving light leaking from the seams of her skin.
“Her voice is low, clear, and gently melodic, with the measured rhythm of someone reading an inscription. When she casts a spell, a second voice repeats the final word of each sentence from somewhere inside her shadow.”

Distinguishing Features
Silver luminous cracks cross her cheeks, throat, and forearms.
Her shadow contains three small candle flames that move independently of her body.
Her left ear is made of translucent black glass and softly rings near portals.
A tiny moth made of folded parchment lives in her hair.
Her reflection is always several seconds behind her movements.
Voice
“A calm contralto with a smoky warmth, like someone speaking beside a hearth during a storm. The hidden echo in her shadow gives certain words a second, mournful resonance.”
Clothing
A long charcoal traveling coat sewn with hundreds of tiny brass eyelets, a deep plum dress reinforced with hidden leather panels, high boots dusted with silver ash, and a belt hung with sealed candle tubes. Her left sleeve is embroidered with the names of people she failed to save.
Body Language
Rhoswen stands with her shoulders slightly forward, as if shielding a candle from wind. When interested, she tilts her head and watches people's hands rather than their faces. When angry, she becomes perfectly still except for the faint movement of light beneath her skin.
