Appearance

Brindle Vask is a small goblin with skin like weathered green copper, a narrow face, and long ears whose tips curl inward like question marks. Their movements are quick but strangely graceful, with the silent footwork of someone accustomed to crossing a crowded room while carrying six full tankards. A pale scar cuts across their left cheek, yet their most unsettling feature is their immaculate smile, complete with tiny silver caps on several teeth. They smell faintly of juniper, woodsmoke, and rain. The contradictory impression they leave is that of a nervous creature who somehow makes everyone else feel watched and safe at the same time.

Height3 feet 8 inches
BuildCompact and wiry, with strong forearms and a surprisingly steady balance
EyesAmber-gold with dark horizontal pupils
HairBlack hair streaked with copper, worn in a short, uneven crest held by wooden pins

Brindle speaks in a warm, quick murmur, dropping their volume whenever the subject becomes important. Their Common is fluent but threaded with unusual proverbs, clipped jokes, and tavern slang.”

Distinguishing Features

Silver-capped teeth that glint whenever Brindle smiles.

A pale diagonal scar across the left cheek.

One ear is pierced with a key-shaped brass charm.

Never spills a drink, even while moving through a crowded room.

Their shadow sometimes appears to reach for the nearest exit before they do.

Voice

A low, quick, conspiratorial voice with a gentle rasp, as if every sentence has been spoken beside a sleeping dragon.

Clothing

A patched burgundy waistcoat over a cream linen shirt, dark trousers tucked into soft boots, and a leather apron embroidered with dozens of tiny brass dots. A red scarf is tied around their wrist rather than their neck.

Body Language

Brindle leans forward when listening, tilts their head toward nearby exits, and keeps one hand below the bar. When lying, they become perfectly still except for the slow polishing of a tankard.
