Appearance
Mzekhe is a compact human woman with warm bronze skin, broad cheekbones, and a face that seems softer when she is lying. Her dark hair is braided into many short cords threaded with dull copper rings, and the braids click faintly when she turns her head. She moves through crowds with the rolling balance of someone accustomed to ship decks, even though she has never owned a boat. Her hands are stained orange from handling hot metal and crimson dust, but her fingernails are meticulously clean. One unexpected feature is her delicate, almost courtly posture, which contrasts with the old knife scars crossing both knuckles and the missing tip of her left little finger.
“Her voice is low, musical, and lightly rasped by years of smoke. She speaks Common with careful politeness, slipping into clipped caravan phrases when angry and using proverbs when she wants to conceal a threat.”

Distinguishing Features
The tip of her left little finger is missing and replaced by a small copper cap.
Her copper hair rings click in a recognizable rhythm when she is nervous.
A thin crimson scar circles her right wrist like a bracelet.
She carries a tiny brass bell that never rings when shaken.
Her left eye is slightly paler than her right, giving her gaze an asymmetrical, appraising quality.
Voice
“Soft, rounded, and intimate, with a gentle Caucasian and caravan-road cadence beneath polished street patter.”
Clothing
A plum-colored wool coat lined with hidden pockets, a saffron waist sash, soft black trousers, copper-soled boots, fingerless gloves, and a ruby-red scarf wrapped twice around her throat. Her coat carries the faint scent of cardamom, furnace smoke, and rain on stone.
Body Language
Mzekhe leans toward people as if sharing intimacy, then keeps one foot angled toward the nearest exit. She rolls copper rings between her fingers when calculating a bargain. Her smile arrives before her eyes do.
