Brother Naldo
Cleric
Brother Naldo
Species
Half-Orc
Appearance
Brother Naldo is a broad-shouldered half-orc with the steady, measured movement of someone who has spent years walking narrow cathedral aisles without disturbing a candle flame. His skin is a deep moss-gray with weathered copper undertones, and it looks almost polished where rain and prayer oil have smoothed the high points of his brow and knuckles. One tusk is chipped at the tip, not from battle but from biting through a leather strap during a winter surgery. He wears a patched chaplain's robe of charcoal wool lined with pale green thread, but beneath it hangs a surprisingly fine silver chain of office, well cared for and almost ceremonial. The unexpected detail is his hands: massive, scarred, and stained with ink, yet his fingernails are meticulously trimmed and faintly scented of myrrh.
“Low, steady baritone with a rough edge softened by careful enunciation; he speaks like each word has been weighed before being offered..”

Distinguishing Features
One chipped tusk wrapped in a thin silver cap
A scar shaped like a crescent burn along his left forearm
Ink-stained prayer fingers from copying names of the dead
A lantern-shaped birthmark at the base of his throat
Carries a faint scent of ash, lavender, and rainwater
Voice
“A low, gravel-warm baritone that softens around names of the dead and hardens into iron when he gives warnings.”
Clothing
Charcoal chaplain's robe, green-lined mantle, prayer cords at the wrist, iron-tipped boots, and a chain tabard bearing a simple lantern sigil
Body Language
He stands as if bracing for a storm, shoulders square and chin slightly lowered, but his hands are soft and deliberate when he tends to others. When angry, he goes still rather than loud, and when sorrowful he rubs one thumb across the knuckle of the other hand like he is trying to smooth a worry stone hidden in his skin.
